The definition of music and lyrics by Sophie Fisher(Drew Barrymore) in the movie, "Music and Lyrics."
"A melody is like seeing someone for the first time. The physical attraction, sex.If you are allured by a song for the first time you hear it, that's because of the melody of the song.
But, then, as you get to know the person, that's the lyrics. Their story, who they are underneath. It's the combination of the two that makes the magic."
And then, if you like the song for a long time, that's because you are attracted by the lyrics.
